Rules:
– One to three members to a team. All participants must be registered prior to the competition. No substitutions will be allowed.

– Projects must be completed and turned in on a CD as a quicktime movie (animation) by 3pm in order for the animation to be considered. Any team submitting the project after the deadline will be disqualified, but films will still be screened.

– If needed, student teams may be supplied computers with After Effects, Flash, Photoshop, and Illustrator in order to complete projects. If this option applies to you, please indicate this need on the submission form.

– Participants will be provided a design packet containing storyboard templates, pencils, for development of rough concepts and ideas. Also, an additional packet containing the theme and required materials will be supplied, and these elements must be incorporated into the final piece.

– Participants allow Citrus Cel to use their work, name and likeness for future festival promotions in either digital or print material. All work produced belongs to the creators.

– Any sound effects or audio used must be copyright/royalty free.

– Entry fee for the competition is $30 per team. Teams must be registered and fees paid by Tuesday, March 1st, 2011.

Schedule:
Thursday: Teams must check in between 12pm-1pm in order to get their materials and theme for the competition.

Competition Begins:     Thursday, April 7th; 1pm (ends Friday at 3pm)

Competition Ends:        Friday, April 8th; 3pm

All animation must be turned in as a quicktime file via CD at at or before 3pm.

GENERAL RULES

Submissions to The Citrus Cel Animation Film Festival need to include content that has been completed no earlier than January 01, 2008.

Your submission must be animated or integrated animation. We will not accept demo reels, samples, or works in progress. Your piece should be complete.

PLEASE NOTE: All submissions are free of charge. Material will not be returned.

Must be delivered on data disk with Quicktimes.

The Citrus Cel Animation Film Festival accepts NO RESPONSIBILITY WHATSOEVER for any infringement of copyright as a result of submitted films being screened at the “2011 Citrus Cel Animation Festival”. The sole responsibility for such legal clearances being in place will always remain that of the filmmaker at the point of submission.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Filmmakers agree to allow the festival organizers to show a short clip from their film for promotional purposes if they so choose, in addition to agreeing that a still from their film can be used for similar purposes on any printed matter that is related to the event if required to do so.
